What can y'all tell me about these stallions?
Does anyone know if the Dutch Cavalier is available in the US?

Hi,
I like Cavalier a lot, I really thought about using him on one of my mares last year. He was one of the stallions in the KWPN-NA semen auction last year. Marieke at www.boreashorses.com may have him available. I would love to know more about him as well!

They are sireline Wild Risk, which should make them interesting to event horse breeders. It certainly does to me.

vineyridge - check this out http://www.hanshorn.com/en/stallions/cavalier/ and then contact http://www.hanshorn.com/en/export/north_america/canada/ for info on semen.
Hope this helps!

He was born in 1984.
So is fresh or frozen available?

According to the Boreas Horse website, Marieke has 9 frozen doses left--3 doses for $1500, or one dose for $650.

I rode a horse by Maykel (Belisar on the other side). I am not very familiar with either sire--so can't tell you for sure from which parent he inherited his characteristics.......Anyway, he's a lovely boy. Very refined, beautiful head. Neck set a little bit low. Great hind end. He had an easy time sitting and a fairly quick hind leg. Piaffe and passage were coming along great before he sold. He would sometimes want to sit too much in the pirouettes & changes and would get a little bogged down. The only negative was that he tended to be a little lazy and dull to the leg if allowed to be that way. I guess that's a plus or minus. --as anyone could ride him and not worry about spooking, etc. He was fine if I kept my leg aids quick and not holding.
