View Full Version : Two TB Mares Need Homes ASAP

This is the first time I've ever posted anything like this. But if doing so helps these horses, then I'm glad I did.

Two TB mares are being shipped directly to slaughter if they do no have homes within a week. The person trying to help place them (Colleen) is a wonderful horseman and has saved many, many horses. She cannot take them in as she is full, but a friend of mine forwarded the link below:
http://www.hideawayhillfarm.com/id93.html

If there is something I can do to help someone who would like to help these horses, please let me know. I am emotionally and financially involved with another sad rescue situation right now, but would provide any assistance I can.

Mods--hope this was okay to post.

Most it on the giveaways so that maybe someone will take them.

And contact AC4H and see if they have room.

Good luck. Too many horses going to slaughter.

Thanks and will do!

Yes, have one coming to the farm next week that we are putting down (due to severe health issue) otherwise he would be going to slaughter as well. It breaks my heart, but at least we could help him before it was too late.

I sent you an email...are they located in Pennsylvania? How soon do they have to be moved?

it might help if she had the breeding posted-- even for folks looking for sporthorses (as opposed to breeding) they are more inclined to take a chance on a rescue if they see familar sport lines.

Bumping these girls back up. Those are two really nicely put together mares!

I'd snatch a TB mare up in a minute. They're my weak spot. However I am in no condition physically or financially for another horse.

Hopefully they'll find a home!

The first one is wearing a beautiful suit of mud! :) She would fit right in at my place.

I'm sending them an email. We may have a situation they can come to until they can be placed. I need to talk to my barn owner about it, but we will see...sad situation for these girls They are nice looking mares.

I would take Babe in a heartbeat but I just cannot afford another horse.

Praying these girls find a home!

We allow occassional wanted requests in Giveaways--for old blankets needing repair, servicable used bridles, etc.--but we don't allow requests for donations of money, feed, services, etc. to support the day-to-day upkeep or rehabilitation of personal horses, not affiliated with a 501c3 charity.

We hope the mares do well in their new home and please feel free to share updates of their progress, but we can't allow the donation requests on the board.

Thanks!

People are so great to save the horses.
