Hoping someone can help. An excellent competitive home buyer is wanting to buy using a payment plan. We have everything outlined but are hoping someone had a contract we could use. Thanks so much in advance!!! cr@xplornet.ca

I did this with the last horse I sold... worked out great, despite my reservations about taking payments. I don't have it here, but if no one else points you to one soon, I'll get it to you later on today.

I bought a horse this way. I did a regular bill of sale but included a clauses stating that 1) I could not back out after the down payment/change of posession. 2)I would keep the horse insured for FULL PURCHASE PRICE payable to the seller 3)I outlined payment due dates.
If I can find a copy, PM me and let me know where to send it. This was over a year ago so I can't make any promises.

I have purchased and sold several horses utilizing a payment plan. It worked great!

There is a payment arrangement contract on the Equine Legal Solutions website if you can't find a freebie.

Not sure if it is a foal or not but here is the one I use. Tweak it. Hope it helps.

Foal Deposit Purchase Agreement (under 6 months old)
Description or name of foal: ________________________________________________
Price: $______________________
Deposit Date and Amount: (minimum of $_______________________________________ )
Payment Schedule: Payments of $________________ (minimum of $__________________) are due of the same date as deposit each month for the next _______________months, with final
payment of $__________________ to be paid at the time of foal pick-up –cash only for
balance.
No animal may be removed until the balance owed has been paid in full.
Failure to pick-up foal within 7 days of scheduled pick-up date will result in the forfeiture
of all monies paid, as will a failure to pay scheduled monthly payments within 7 days of
payment due date. If Buyer’s can not pick-up foal as scheduled, they may request a new
pick-up date mutually agreed upon in advance, but a $10.00/day boarding fee may be
added to remaining balance; failure to pick-up foal by new date will result in all monies
paid being forfeited to the Sellers and this contract will be considered null and void!

BUYER shall be responsible for providing shipping of FOAL.
In the event of an emergency, SELLER agrees to consult BUYER on all decisions made regarding
the health of said FOAL, unless BUYER is unable to be reached. SELLER shall consult a
veterinarian, and make a humane decision based upon the welfare of said FOAL.
An individual insurance policy for said FOAL is highly recommended to cover liability,
medical and life. Purchase of horse insurance is the sole responsibility of the buyer.
All foals will halter, lead, tie,
groom, pick-up feet, be respectful, UTD worming & trims (as needed).
Coggins and health papers will not be provided on any animal purchased prior to 6
months of age, and these, and vet checks, are considered the Buyers responsibility. We
have many vets who operate in this area, and will gladly supply you with there names and
phone numbers upon request.
Release
The BUYER explicitly understands and acknowledges that horses, as living creatures,
defy predictability. Therefore, upon closing of this transaction, BUYER agrees that
SELLER is forever released of any and all association, responsibility, and liability
regarding, arising from, and relating to acts of the FOAL.
