Posting for a friend, because I'm trying to infect someone else with the breeding bug!! Mare is main book GOV, so that is first choice, but would look at something fitting her criteria elsewhere too. Looking for the following:
1. Must be a medium or modern-type, very uphill stallion--or adds leg/uphill topline in offspring. Mare lacks length of leg (she's only 15'2 or 3), has nice topline, but could use better withers/saddle position. Even though she isn't heavy/old fashioned, her babies have been huge.
2. Suspension could be improved in mare. Her best gaits are by far her walk and canter.
3. Stallion should have excellent leg conformation (mare toes in a bit in front and out a bit behind). Her angles are good though.
4. Offsping with good temperment, suitable for ammy.
5. Stallion or preferably offspring competing successfully in upper level competition
How fun!

What are the mare's bloodlines? I could suggest a number of horses but if the pedigrees are too close that is no good (plus, the pairings are important, obviously).
Also, if you want to really narrow the field, start with factor 5 and work your way through the ones that meet that criterion.

What are the mare's bloodlines?
"D" and "R" lines fit most of the criteria.
"B" fits the temperment and gaits but can be small.

I was going to suggest your boy but wanted to make sure the mare did not have similar lines already. Benidetto can meet everything but #5 - but he is only 5 years old and did qualify for the Bundeschampionat and is thought to be a real contender for the GP arena.

Thanks YL. Posting at the same time as you are.
But I think we need a bit more info to make any reccomendations at this time.

Fascination (Furioso II) out of an Arabian mare. It's funny, because she isn't that big boned--just medium, but the colt I saw out of her was a tank (albeit a gorgeous tank)--I forget who the father was.

Oh this one is easy ;)
Dacaprio

I have his full dvd at home and literally watch it for fun. He is absolutely lovely. He is the definition of leggy and modern, and has movement to die for. I want a hunter from my mare but I am still tempted to take a leap of faith and breed to him.

This mare is by a stallion who is 35% TB with a large dash of Trakehner in him and out of an Arab mare. So I'd definitely go back to the Trakehner for this breeding otherwise you won't really be able to predict what you will get in the offspring.
There are some outstanding dressage Trak stallions available. Leonidas is worth considering. He's competed at GP and is by a GP stallion who has sired an Olympic competitor.

I second the suggestion of Dacaprio, who meets all the criteria including the one established by stolensilver of including Trakehner, as Dacaprio has Caprimond in the damline. ;) In addition, he has successful competition offspring and was successful himself, and is considered one who adds a refining influence.

Don't count Dacaprio out for a hunter either (depending on your mare). I've seen pics & video of a few fancy, fancy hunters by him. I love him.

Dacaprio is a lovely stallion :) Definatly modern, with long legs, and FANCY mover. I've seen him in the flesh. I don't think the pictures on the website do him justice. When we was trotted out of us, he really sat down and got light in the front end. The one thing I'd be a little cautious about, is that he is verging on upright in the pasterns IMO. I wouldn't stop me from using him, as long as the mare has good pasterns  Definatly a very good tempered boy from what I can tell. Plus, the team at Bridlewood Hanoverians is very good to work with!

I second (third? fourth?) the suggestion for Dacaprio. Another one to consider is Rubino Bellissimo. I'm not sure about his front leg conformation as I haven't seen him in person, but he is uphill and modern, and is making lovely, lovely foals.

Another D line - great temperment, nice mover, younger stallion but already at 4th level - Devon Heir. Standing at DG Bar, so you have an experienced stallion "station" behind him!

What about Tantris?

I thought Dacaprio was supposed to downsize? He is not a big horse himself, either. Also, in terms of "refining" influence, be careful that you understand what that means when talking about Caprimond and his progeny (including Hohenstein, for that matter). I like Dacaprio very much but am not sure he will lengthen the mare's legs / add height. I do think he will bring good movement and temperament to the equation. Also, while I know he competed in Germany, did he compete upper level (I don't think he has any progeny that has yet).

We are loving our Dressage Royal offspring. He had two finalists in the six year olds at Verden last week for the Young Horse World Championships, Desperado OLD and Uno Don Diego.

So far I see (in random order):
Benidetto
Leonidas
Rubino Bellissimo
Dacaprio
Tantris
Devon Heir
Dressage Royal
A nice list to start with!

I have seen several Dacaprio foals. Super refined, on the smaller side, great gaits.
The small issue can come from both sides of the pedigree- Caprimond can throw smallish and the Donnerhall line ( although not usually Davignon) is inconsitant for the size.
Our boy, Don Principe does refine, adds length of front leg and almost always( although I have not seen the exception yet) improves the topline. His TB damline adds the refinement and whie n ot addign height, does not take it away--again, in most cases. The exceptions are that he sometimes does add height.
Tantris foals are lovely with three very good gaits.
I think if you look at most "R" stallions, they refine and add elegance.

Agree 100%!
Also, for what it's worth, my '09 Dacaprio colt is the exception to the ones that Marydell has seen... He is FAR from small. At just 2 months old he is almost as tall as my Don Alfredo filly who is over twice his age. He is a very tall foal. He did get some refinement, although not as much as I thought he'd get. But, he definitely got the great gaits! :D

Sonntagskind Sandro Hit/ Donnerhall/ Rubinstein I, is a very modern uphill stallion. He has very long legs and is a ball to ride and work around. All of his foals have been fantastic uphill movers with great long legs. His oldest crop is two. They are all easy to work with and quick learners. Sonntag is always nicely in front of the leg and willing always to please. you can see his foals and watch a video of him under saddle ridden by his owner, before he went off to train at Hilltop Farm in May 09. Good Luck with your mare.
Sonntagskind was the winner of the 2009 30 day stallion testing and was just approved by the American Hanoverian Society.

I believe that Leonidas is retired now. He might have some frozen available, though.

I'm no expert, but I saw him at the West Coast Stallion licensing a few years back (2004) and he was quite exciting, incredible movement, lovely stallion - I don't get excited about new stallions all that often, so I do keep ocassional tabs on him;) And I hear he has a lovely temperment - have heard that from a few people who have been up close and personal with him. He occasionally shows in this area too, and has done quite well, moved up the levels steadily, currently showing 4th level.
He was high point at the stallion licensing, and high scoring Hano stallion at the Paxton Farms 100 day test in 2004 (when he was 3). Bloodlines De Niro x Rubenstein II. There are a few videos on YouTube of him if you do a search. Not sure if that helps?
