That is who we bred my 16 hand TB mare to, expecting to get a small horse/large pony. Well, the little bugger just turned 1, and is already ~14.3! I'm not disappointed, he's a lovely little guy, just a little shocked at the size. I'm kind of thinking he's going to be bigger than his Mummy at this point. Anyone else? And for those of you with "big" yearlings, how big did they end up? (the other babies on the farm are pony babies, so he looks extra big to us, since he shot right by our 2 and 3 year old, but they are tiny anyway. :) Thanks!

I am also interested in seeing photos and hearing about the offspring.
I have the opposite condition from the OP -- I am looking at him for my 12.2 hh section B Welsh pony. She is a flaxen sabino (huge blaze, 4 high whites and spots under chin and jaw) so I am worried about too much white with him -- how much white does he throw and will he improve her height ? I would like a medium pony out of the cross.

I have two...yearling and a weanling. I will measure my yearling tomorrow and let you know. The mares are smaller warmbloods and I do not anticipate getting 14.2 but perhaps 15.2. Love my Stibby-Me's.....wonderful temperaments and really good movement. I am in love with these Weser-ems ponies. Breeding back to Stibby for the third year in a row...........

OK.Stibby in a box is coming tomorrow for my third foal.........Lou says I am "Stibbys best fan". I think you all should join me. I have always bred for size...........As you get older size is an option......closer to the ground is great!

Ann -- how much white does he throw ? I have a Welsh pony mare with tons of white that I think would cross nicely with him but I am afraid of too much white (ie. don't want a paint )

My two do have a bit of white but nothing terribly excessive. The Yearling (chestnut) out of a chestnut mare with four white stockings and a star has three half stockings and a blaze. The weanling out of a bay mare with one white pastern, has four white legs. Shorter in front and higher behind. Really cool face marking, sort of a star stripe and snip.
No white on the body.
I will measure the yearling too........
There is a picture of the yearling as a baby on our website under the whats new section from last year. Dam is Easter..........

I have a Welsh pony mare with tons of white that I think would cross nicely with him but I am afraid of too much white (ie. don't want a paint )You have to have pinto to get pinto. If your horse isn't a pinto, you'll just get variations of stockings and blaze, unless there is body white somewhere other than sabino. Well, of course, unless you get maximum sabino and get a white foal with chestnut ear tips. :D
BTW, anyone know how big he is? There is no height listed anywhere on him that I can find. I have seen him and do like him.
