Ran across the advertisement for Greenridge Farm in Plant City, FL. Just looking to see if anyone has any experience, haven't been able to find out much of anything and am looking for some training for my horse and I for local and maybe, if we get that far, some bigger hunter shows. Or, if anyone has any recommendations for someone else in the same vicinity, feel free to PM me or post here. Thanks in advance!

He is one of the better known trainers in the area. I have lessoned with him several times and had good experiences. He seems to have a nice showing group as well, but I have never shown with him personally.
Where are you? (I am assuming you are not in Tally at the moment ;) There are several nice barns over in Tampa if you don't mind the drive. (Keilyn, Showcase, . . . ) You have very limited options in the Plant City area though. Pat is one of the better ones.
Good luck.

Pat has a good reputation. I see him at most shows in the area. I dont live near Plant City so I have never been to his farm.
There are several good barns spread around the Tampa area so depending on where you live you should be able to find something fairly close to you.
Showcase is mostly a Quarter Horse barn. They have developed a reputation of "trying" to do the H/J thing with a trainer merry-go-round.
We can give you more suggestions if you want.

Yes.I actually board at Greenridge Farm.
Pat is amazing. He really takes his time with you and your horses. He is basically a MIRACLE worker. My horse came there last summer with major issues [extreme leaning/falling in,head in the air, hard getting leads, impossible changes etc] and just a year later, through lots of work and what I call "Pat Time",he is almost perfect. If you're looking for a trainer to get you where you need to go,Pat is definitely the one.

Seems he has been around a long time. Being a local, and a breeder, I know lots of stuff about lots of people. I have never heard a negative about Pat.

Pat is awesome. Very knowledgable and HONEST. Can't say the same for some of the other barns mentioned in previous posts. He will tell you like it is and has your best interest at heart...not his wallet. The other barns mentioned are nice but you'll need to re-mortgage your house to board there. You and your horse will learn and progress much faster with Pat. The drive to Greenridge Farms is worth it from any place in Tampa or Pinellas.

I'm in the Tampa area and looking for a trainer right now too... Somewhere I could trailer to... I was driving to Orlando for lessons with my mare.. but got a new girl and am looking around. I just wish I could find someone that is at the top and could deal with "harder" brained horses.... I don't mind paying for their time!!!! Any other suggestions??? The ones mentionned before aren't exactly "high level" on the jumper scene...

I trained with Pat for 6 years with two different ponies. HE IS AMAZING!!! There is nothing bad to say about that man. He taught me everything I know. He "fixed" my first pony who had lots of issues including refusals, bad changes, and a love of the extended trot (he didn't like picking up the canter lol). We went on to do really well at A rated shows. Then he helped me find my "show pony" and train her. He found the perfect diamond in the rough and helped me train her to be an amazing hunter pony who also won at A rated shows. I strongly, strongly, strongly recommend him. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my horses.
