TOTD has a great deal on these today and my mare needs a new one. She is a cob in some brands (her Kieffer dressage bridle and Micklem Multibridle) and a horse in others (Nunn Finer figure 8 horse size is almost too small, Baker horse size halter fits perfectly).
Any guidance on Stubben? e.g., is a horse size generous, pretty 'standard' or small with their halters?? To me, she is an 'average horse' size but I'm trying to avoid getting one that doesn't fit since I won't be able to return it.
Thanks in advance-
Jocelyn

I'm not sure which model you're looking at, but both of my mares are stock breed types and they're in the Cob size. The halters I've got have buckles on both the right and left side just below the crown for sizing and also under the nose so you can adjust. Brass fittings, thumb snap style clip.
Does that sound about like what you're looking at?

Good point - here's a link with a good photo of it - it sounds like the same halter:

Thanks - this is helpful.

That looks exactly like what I've got.
My one mare is a QH/Morgan/Arab cross. I have her in a cob sized bridle and it JUST fits...had to add a hole to drop the noseband down. (to give you an idea of her head size)
My other mare is a paint and has a longer head.
Both are in the cob size with room to spare. I took their bridles up to the tack store and did a size comparison.
If your mare is on the borderline of cob/standard in other stuff, I'd personally go with the cob for this particular halter.
By the way, you won't regret it. Nicest halters I've ever had. I think I paid about 80 apiece. What's TOTD pricing them at? I need two more. Halters have to stay on when the horses are turned out and I can't keep them looking very pretty with the mud, rain, etc. I would like to buy two more to have as "nice" halters.

Cool. Glad to help. Hope it fits--I'll feel pretty badly if it doesn't! LOL But if it doesn't, PM me and I might take it off your hands.
