Anyone know of any horse shows in and around South Jersey on August 22nd? Rated is okay, schooling is even better-- this is just to get a baby horse out and hacking in company. Doesn't need to be fancy, just want something with a show atmosphere where he can fo a few flat classes.

So far I've found Duncraven, Hunter Farms, and Whispering Woods Horse Farm (schooling). None of those are particularly close, over an hour from South Jersey. It would be kind of a pain to go that far just to do a few flat classes, and I certainly don't need a show as nice as Duncraven/Hunter Farms.

Anyone know of anything going on closer to South Jersey on that date? And maybe unrated/schooling? PA is fine, I didn't see a CCHSA show on that date and I am wholly unfamiliar with non-CCHSA shows other than maybe Our Farm. If there's something close-ish in Bucks/Montgomery County-- that'd be super.

Thanks!

The English Circuit of South Jersey sounds like it would be great for you. I haven't ridden in a show for years since I moved, but it's nice little circuit. I have great memories riding in their shows! It doesn't look like they have a show on the 22nd, but there's one the next weekend.

Thanks, that is super. Might not work for the 8/22 date but I am keeping that for future reference. I appreciate the link!

The only one that I know of is a real local, beginner series put on by Lewisville Stables, just a few minutes away from Fair Hill. Don't know if it's too little for your purposes, but the prize list can be found here:

Another option might be Friday night, August 21st, Tomorrow's Dream Farm in Cochranville, PA has its Friday Night Series. Again, it's a small schooling show, and don't know whether it'd be too small for you, but it might be worth giving them a call for a prizelist to find out.

On August 30th Chesterfield farm shows start their fall series. These are nice schooling shows to bring along a young horse. They are quiet shows with alot of flat classes for the greenies. If you are interested the web site is: coursesbydesign.com
