Question for Equi-block Users

So I ordered some Equi-Block to put on my horse's back (just found out he has kissing spine). My question is, for those of you who put it on the back, do you put it on before or after you ride, or both? I am afraid if I put it on beforehand, his back may get all warm and tingly and he'd freak out!

I wouldn't use it before. It can be quite irritating. If you do any rubbing, leave the area to air (don't wrap/blanket).

My horse gets upset if I use it three days in a row on his fetlocks. Two in a row is ok, but then he needs a day off.
