Anyone used it? Got it for my gelding who has severe allergies to the world it seems like... Actually I believe he just has severe summer/sweet itch.....
Also MSM dosing, he does have some arthritis but was also told to give him extra MSM for allergies... Whats the highest safe doseage for a 1100 lb horse?

Told by whom? MSM is pretty safe. I've given up to 40 grams/day to an aged 900 pound Arab with ERU. Can't say it helped the uveitis much but she did have improved hoof growth and a strong, silky mane and tail for a grey. ;)

The recommended dose of MSM is 10,000 to 20,000mg. I guess you could feed more than that, it's a pretty safe thing.. but I think after 20,000, you're going to just be wasting it.

What do you mean told by whom? It's pretty evident he has it.. He is a curly and naturally sheds but he will itch his mane, tail, body, butt, just everything like crazy when the bugs come out. We also know he's allergic to Alfalfa and sweet feed....
I think we will up his dose to 20g a day split into two feedings? or would one be better...? and go from there...

10g in the morning and 10g in the evening sounds good, yeah. :)
You don't have to split it up, but maybe it'll have a better effect when given twice, I'm not sure. Worth a try, and won't hurt!
