I love my Fleeceworks pads! I will not part with them! My barn does the A/AA shows and everyone has them. Mattes are nice too but make sure you buy close contact and not dressage(unless you're showing dressage! lol). A traditional white always looks nice IMO; stay away from crazy colors for shows.

Eek! Is that the new Dover website? It seems very messy. I liked the clean lines of the old one better, even if it wasn't as convient to navigate.

Anyways, the half pad is good. But like indygirl said, make sure that it's a close contact pad not a dressage pad.

If you absolutely must show in a half pad (not my preference and you don't see it as much as you used to - most have gone back to a nice fitted pad) be sure it is spotless and fits your saddle perfectly. White looks best. I ride in a thinline half pad (comfort with sheepskin) at home, but use a regular white thinline over my regular fleece pad at shows. I love their products - I could tell the difference in Mare right off the bat.

yeesh that is hideous!! I didn't even notice until I read this comment... too busy looking at the mattes in pink and black lol (I think what I'm feeling about the pad color choice is about the same that I felt about the website makeover. is there a barfing smiley? :P )

Mattes pads are good but not in black in pink please! Do white. I love my grand prix half pad that is pretty much like the mattes one, but with gel on the seat, surrounded by fleece. I've also had good experiences with fleeceworks and beval, but the grand prix is my favorite.

I have decided to get a fleeceworks pad. Which one should I get?

and I would be getting them all white.

And should I get the rolled edge?

I love love LOVE my grand prix. It wasn't cheap but I'm totally in love with it and so is my horse. I would definitely go for the rolled edge on the fleeceworks. Good luck!

I like the look of rolled edges so I'd say the 2nd or 3rd. I have both; the perfect balance one is great though if you ride a lot of different horses because you can adjust the fit with the inserts.

Rolled edges always look better. Make sure it fits your horse and your saddle well. Ditto on the Dover site looking bad.

My first choice would be a shaped pad (I really like the fleeceworks), but if you are set on getting a half pad, definitely get one with rolled edges. I like the fleece works brand a lot, but Mattes is also wonderful! :)

Rolled edge and another vote for grand prix pads. They are natural colored, but fit CC saddle well and are a neat design.

Check ECP brand too-great clearance for spine. I just got one a couple days ago and LOVE it. All the pads you're looking at are awesome and who can argue with a happy back!! :)

I had to have a replacement of the fleece works within 30 days of having it because it was falling to pieces.

I personally hate the look of half pads in the show ring but if you must I would check out the grand prix or go with a white mattes one.
