No... not a horse... our new little pound puppy, who only stands about 11" tall, sailed over the 4 1/2 foot gate without missing a beat! DD said he left about 6" of clearance! Luckily he's not one to run off... he jumped the gate because he didn't want to be alone in the yard while DD went out to feed horses.
Luckily, he doesn't run off, and he's also got horse sense. He had a fairly painless lesson on day 2 about staying away from their feet. He just doesn't like to be 'left behind'. He sticks to us like glue! For the first few days I though I had a great dane in a terrier body, he was so quiet and well behaved. But now that he's feeling better after his surgery, we're starting to see the 'terrier' in him, LOL!
Hmmm... maybe he's one of those designer dogs... border collie markings, energy, and brains (black and white), with a terrier's body and personality.
We really need to get more pics. After longing for a dog for the past year and finally getting one past DH, I think I've got a winner.
Cats aren't happy though. He will leave them alone as long as they don't run, but of course, only 1 of them is smart and non-neurotic enough to know that.
