Fat barn kitties-need feed suggestions

I have a few barn 'ladies' that are looking a little menopausal in the waistline.:lol:

The boys still look lean and mean.

I am looking for kibble suggestions that are not terrible but not as expensive as raw diet type kibbles!

I have been feeding the Chicken Soup brand and like it but age is not helping the metabolism and my girls are looking a little rolly.

Suggestions?

What you're feeding is probably too high in calories. Cut back the amount you're giving them. Some cats seem to be photosynthetic...that is, they seem to live on air. I know some cats that are fed less than 1/2 cup of dry food a day and still can't lose weight. It's amazing.

Try cutting back first, or switching to a "light" brand or one with fewer calories per cup, first.

Of course, wet food is a better option in that it is less calorie-dense, but it is smelly, attracts other animals outside, and I'm not sure it'd be a feasible option for you.
