My youngster came up with a LH puffy fetlock/ankle yesterday. Nothing grotesque, but given the day off to be safe. Still puffy today... put her on the lunge line to check things out and she's completely sound (not to mention (*&#@&^ FRESH  ). Mare is barefoot, had her feet done by the usual farrier the day before. Nothing looks out of place with her feet.

We're thinking:
a) she re-injured where she had a dimwit moment about three weeks ago and put the same leg through a fence. It was puffy at the time (much worse, but again totally sound on it), vet took a look at the time, no damage done.

b) she torqued it partying outside in her paddock overnight

c) brewing an abscess and is pain tolerant.

Any other suggestions?? I'm sure I'm being paranoid but it worries me that "nothing" can turn into "something major" so quickly...
