Custom Fab Trailer - what a piece of crap - total rip off!
Anyone else have an opinion on this make or was I just unlucky?

More info, please. Did you buy one? What was wrong with it?

We had a custom fab steel trailer that we bought used, and when Featherlite was being tough to deal with, we decided to give custom fab a go, and they actually gave us a better deal, and were easier to work with than the Featherlite dealer was

We had a custom fab made for us 1 1/2 years ago. It is all aluminum, floor mats , totally open inside, escape door, even had a handles put on the outside next to the fender so you can grab on to step up on the running boards to the fender. The only thing was that my husband was not impressed with the "smoothness" of the outside welding job, but again he is a bit anal about things like that, and they didn't put corner caps on over the corner welds on the front top outside. Other than that, we are pleased with the trailer. We haven't had any problems with it in the time we have had it.

I have a old one and it has really held up. It wasn't what I would of ordered if I was ordering one new, but it is reliable and has held up very well.

Leaking in many spots from the roof, leaking from almost every window in the trailer; windows that look like they were cut out with a chainsaw instead of a template; ramps that are higher on the outside than trailer floor and too steep; wiring that looks like a child strung together and of course blew a fuse in the truck in the first rainstorm and yes the outside welding is certainly below standard; pins in butt bars jam so bably it is hard to get them in or out - I could go on
