I'm looking at buying my first used trailer and I have a number of questions.

I don't have a truck yet (next year), however I do have access to my father's truck that is more than capable of pulling the little trailer.

First it is a 2001 Kingston 2-horse bumper pull with no dressing room.

I know it needs new tires and that the ramp needs new springs.

What I don't know is how much I should estimate the cost of repair/replace at.

Additionally I was going to have it inspected/general yearly maintance done, however the closest trailer place is close to an hour away. Do you use RV places that sell horse trailers? Or don't bother, they don't know what they are doing...

How much do you estimate your yearly maintance to be? We're talking NY...

Could anyone give me an estimate what they would expect to pay for the trailer.
I believe I am getting a fairly good deal on the trailer, however needing the new tires and springs for the ramp I need some confirmaton for my own sanity.

Thank You!!

Check the floor, too and wiring as well as the underbody/frame. Go on one of the traier sites( anyone>??) and see what trailers are going for , or any dealers that advertise in your area( Pedlar, Equine Journal. )
