I just found out that my hunter prospect has a narrow airway and will more than likely not make it as a competition horse. He was getting winded more than expected during long workouts so I had him scoped. The vet said he is not completely worthless! He can continue to do light work and he loves to go on trail rides and be out of the arena. It just wouldn't be fair to him to make him a show animal due to the amount of work involved. I'm looking for a good home. Located in Lexington, KY. He is a huge baby with a very good start. 17hh and 3 years old.

Hi Bluetiger:
I am interested in your gelding. Can you tell me what type training and work he has been in. Any special needs regarding feed, shoes, turnout. Any vices or problems with other horses? I sent you a PM.

Thanks!

I assume this has already been ruled out by the veterinarians that have evaluated the horse, but for the sake of asking, is there a surgical option for this respiratory problem? Not sure what is meant by narrow airway?
