Well, without a doubt "kudo's" have to go to this great Show Secretary Jaqui Richie ! We were in torrential downpours, like white water flowing down the mountain and with the lightening interuptions, soaking wet this absolutely wonderful women ALWAYS had a smile on her face, put her complete heart into it and made EVERYONE feel safe and acknowledged. She expressed such great gratitude for everyone (grooms, owners, trainers & riders). she made what should have been a disastrous day a terrific one. This was my 1st experience attending one of her horse shows and would without doubt attend any event she works on. And actually ALL of the BCHP staff went out of their way to make sure eveyone was safe and had fUn and we all did....KUDO'S TO YOU ALL ! ! ! !

She is great! I love showing down at Bucks, and that is one of the reasons. I do wish they would get rid of that tree by the bridge LOL, but that is not her thing when she is doing the shows. I find she does her very best to make sure people are getting what they need, the day of the show, or adjusting your timetable.

I am glad you guy's didn't float away! I hope you did well.

I really, really wanted to take my 3 year old but he is indisposed at the moment. I love that there is finallly a breed show within 2 hours of where I live and hope to be there next year...

Which was your horse/pony? I was the chick in the soggy blonde pony tail scribing the in hand portion of the show. Trying to keep my papers from getting (more) moist! Yoikes! It's hard to write standing up, trying to keep the paper dry, when you are wet all over!!

There were some very lovely horses at the show, that's for sure. I wanted to stuff the pony in my Prius and take her home. ;-)

Jackie is talking about maybe trying to do a breed show one day and performance show the next as a two day thing. Would anyone care to give me some feedback to pass along to her about your interest in doing something like that at Bucks?

I was the the dummy who brought a chestnut stallion ( by IDOCUS) with 4 huge WHITE stockings to run in the mud....heheh. I also rode in the afternoon on the even biger chestnut horse. My partner is not a huge fan of going to Horse Shows but he even admitted to having a great time and it was all due to Ms. Jaqui and all the help from the BCHP Staff & Volunteers. I would without doubt attend again. The only thing I'd have to say that would need improvement on would be "stabling" ALTHOUGH I THINK IT NEEDS MENTIONING THAT EVEN WITHOUT STABLING SHE MADE ACCOMADATIONS FOR MY STALLION. It's tough for people to commit to bringing a variety of ages & sexes to a Breed Show without stabling. It's tough to haul a Mare & Foal, Yearlings & Stallions, etc and then expect them to stay on the trailer together. But I did express that at the show and it did limit me to bringing only 2 horses this time..I would've brought more if there were accomadations. But I think if they change the format slightly to a 2 day show (Breed Show one day & Performance the next) would attract WAY MORE entry's to both shows and warrant maybe putting up tents & stalls. People will attend, come from farther as along as they know they have a spot to park their horses. whats the famous saying from the movie "Field of Dreams"..."IF YOU BUILD IT THEY WILL COME" ! ! ! ! !
