Norwegian Fjord Evaluation (8/14 - 15) Herndon, VA

If you are interested in the Norwegian Fjord breed and live in the DC Metropolitan area, this is a great FREE educational opportunity to see Fjords in conformation and performance tests. We have 22 Fjords doing conformation, riding, driving and draft tests over a 2-day period. Conformation and draft (intro and advanced) will be on Friday, 8/14 from 9 a.m. - 6 p.m. Driving and riding will be on Saturday, 8/15 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Our evaluators do explain their judging rationale to the audience, entertain questions and even demonstrate concepts where appropriate.

On Sunday, 8/16, we will have the Virginia Fjord Fjestival which is a breed show for Fjords. We are offering conformation, riding and driving classes.

All US and Canadian Registered Fjords are welcome to enter

If you are interested in this breed or want to see some sale horses, this is the place to be next weekend. Fjords are not that common and this is a wonderful chance to see the breed and network with owners and breeders.
