Thought I would start this as I was too impatient for somebody else to do it. :)

Miss mare and I will be doing Novice Rider again since we took last year off. That and winding up in the middle of the coffin while schooling kind of killed my confidence that we would finish the course at training.

Anybody else?

People from my barn will be there. I will be doing the young horses first schooling dressage show (much closer to home) that Sunday.

Not competing this year--we have Giants vs. Bears preseason tickets for that Saturday night in Chicago. Only chance to see the Giants this year, and so NOT to be missed. :) Don't want to do the Novice course again anyway, and the Training is still a BIT stiff for Miss Bonnie. ;)

My trainer is going to be doing the CCI*** and so I'm REALLY HOPING that the stars align to let me watch her go XC Saturday morning while we're on our way to Chicago. It's a little bit of a detour (especially since we're going by boat, LOL) but the game isn't until 8pm so we'll see . . .

Flutie: you will not be able to shame DW about her NJ heritage. Her truck license plate even screams it! ;) The Daily show (about 2 days ago) had a very "touching" segment on NJ if anyone is interested.

Anyway--back to the thread topic. I am signed up for Richland. That's all I'll say. If my horse gets wind of this post--she'll do something stupid to herself about ummm, 3-4 days before. We are 1 week out from Hunters Run and I arrived at the barn tonight to find that she had been kicked HARD, right on her side, in the saddle area. She'll be ok--but it was really swollen and tender. Putting the saddle on did not go over well (boy, did I get a look). So, we are just quietly signed up for Richland, but not telling anyone out loud. ;)Hope we get to see everyone there.

My son and his beast are entered in the CIC** - while I AM looking forward to the event as I have heard wonderful things about it, I AM NOT looking forward to the drive. . . .!!

My trainer will be riding my horse in Novice Open, so I'll be there braiding and fussing and grooming. It will be Skyler's last hurrah before four boring years with me at graduate school.

They do have a new entrance, and while it looks very nice it's not too ostentatious. I don't know about a new pavilion by the water, haven't seen it. Love the corn! And everything else about the exhibitor's party!

Yes!! My parents live about 15 minutes from the showgrounds, so my trip is dual purpose, horse show/family visit

my mom normally is a volunteer shuttle driver for the weekend which is always a complete disaster

Kalamazoo rocks. I just discovered that in addition to yellow rose, Kendra McQuillan also hails from the Zoo, as I do.
