How do you know what size to get? I am 4'11" and 100 lbs, my hunter shirts were a size 32/34. I have an XS Romfh shirt, but I don't know if a small tie would be too tight? Anyone have any idea?

I know this isn't the reply you were looking for (though you sound pretty little - I can't imagine a small would be too small), but if you are running events that are contested over one day, you no longer need a stock tie at all. You can wear a polo shirt to dressage and sj.

even if you are a small person (I'm only 5'4" and normal weight) you may prefer a longer stock tie, I do, as I like to tie, then pin it with those tiny safety pins to my shirt so it doesn't shift around and stays puffy. Since the ends go under your jacket anyway, it really doesn't make any difference how long it is. I'm going under the assumption that you are talking about a "real" stock tie, not one of those pre-tied things.
