I met Romantic Star and what a wonderful stallion. He is tall (16.3ish) and very elegant. He's of a beautiful modern type, dark mohagany bay, lovely head and neck, with very correct conformation.

What a beautiful addition to Gray Fox Farms stallions. I'm looking forward to seeing his babies next year.

Great to hear Misita! We have a lovely imported HOL mare infoal to him and words don't explain how excited I am to meet that foal. :) :) :) I need to make a date and go see RS. I met Aloha and Redwine last month and they too were just wonderful.

Has Jill brought Romantic Star over yet, or is he still on the East Coast?

I've met Redwine and Aloha too. I was almost speechless seeing Redwine, what a presence that boy has got  I cannot wait for my foal by him next year!

Jill really does have a very nice line-up, I wonder if Rated R is here yet? I'm anxious to see him, and Romantic Star if he comes over to the West Coast

RS is here in Northern Ca. now and he's wonderful. I like all her stallions but I think RS is my favorite. I'm looking forward to seeing his 2010 crop.

Romantic is a wonderful boy - we got the pleasure of seeing him at his first "hunter show" with Chad Keenum (and really first show in the US after 9-10 years?) and you'd have NEVER known he was a stallion, except for his stunning beauty. Schooling with no lunge in with kids and ponies and never a peep. You could hear the gasps when he entered the ring and all heads were turned with jaws dropped. You really have to see him in person to truly appreciate him. We have a mare bred to him and can't wait to see the baby! We were sad when he left for the West Coast but he'll be really happy there with Jill!!

I love Romantic Star. I saw him the day he arrived at Gray Fox. What a gentleman. I have bred a couple mares to him and am waiting on the preg checks.

Just wanted to add that I met Romantic Star today at Gray Fox Farm. WOW! Romantic is really quite an impressive boy. His head , neck and conformation are lovely and he really has a " look at me " quality.

I am so excited to meet our RS foal in April!

Dressage-ryder: I saw your mare at Starr Vaughn, and I think you are going to have a really nice foal with Romantic Star. Hope its a filly, not that I can afford to buy it this year, but a filly would be super nice to have from your mare for somebody!

I think I'm still ahead of everybody who got to SEE Romantic Star, lol, because I got to help Jill collect him!!

He was QUITE the gentleman--he'd never laid eyes on me before, but he was a very very good boy. I handled him and Jill handled the AV.

Unfortunately my mare got pregnant with twins that would not move apart and when we pinched one we lost the other too. So no RS foal for me THIS year (was too late in the season to try again).

I got to see him in September & what a classy, classy stallion (as are the rest of Jill's boys). There is nothing not to like. I can't wait to see his foals this year!

PS. Jill has a Romantic Star foal due any day so if you visit her when here you should be able to see it. Dam is a LOVELY Rubinstein mare- I met her today too.

I bred my Freestyle x Frohwind mare to Romantic Star late last year but she had some fluid and alas no pregnancy. She shut down so I didn't get a second attempt.

Now I am even more sad after hearing how wonderful he is in person.

Sorry to hear that Donna... Will you be able to rebreed this year?? It's amazing to me how much you can't "see" in photos. I knew he was nice but seeing him in person was really a treat...I realized I left out in my post about today how sweet he was. He came over to stand with Jill and I while we talked about mares, foals and the never ending rain. He stuck his nose through the gate trying to get scratches... very charming boy!

One of my favorite mares ever! I used to ride her for her former owner many years ago & was around when she had her first foal who was a clone of her. I am dying to see the RS foal. It should be spectacular.

I am so excited - not sure how I am going to make to 2011!!

Plus Mistletoe is from the great holsteiner stamm 104a - her great great grandmother is the famous Retina - who is the dam of Capitano - sire of the Great Capitol 1!!!
