Does anyone here remember the Southern Pines Horse Trials when they were at the Moss Foundation?
We were riding there yesterday, and I was casually looking for the location of the old water complex thinking that it would in some shape or form still be there. Does anyone know if the water complex on the Moss still exists and, if so, where exactly it is? If memory serves me, it was somewhere along the front of the property, close to US 1/May Street.

I don't know if it's still there...they moved a lot of the materials to the Carolina Horse Park. It would have been off May St. somewhere east/across fom Bobby Costello's farm and in about 1/4 mile or so.

I found it a while back and it is gone - filled with small trees and shrubs.

The jumps posed a great liability danger while they were in place. Plus the pressure treated wood would have been valuable when they relocated to CHP.

It is still "there" persay....meaning if you remembered exactly where it was and what it looked like then you would be able to find it. It isn't ride throughable any more, but you can kinda see where it was. But it is quite grown up with trees and shrubs and such!

crosscreeksh - That's pretty much where I remembered it being.
Guess that explains why I wouldn't have readily noticed it - doesn't look like a water complex anymore. LOL So much for that. Thought it'd be fun to play in after a hot ride.
Thanks for the info everyone!
