How do you test for high testosterone ?? Does it show up in a CBC ??

Also, can testosterone randomly increase ?

Does not show up on a CBC.
There are assays.
Testosterone levels can certainly vary. I doubt it's "random", though. There's a complicated set of feedback loops that regulate such things, though pathologies of various sorts are definitely possible.

Is this a mare, gelding, or stallion in question?

He is a Gelding.

Increasingly more aggressive ( but he always had a bad attitude anyway )... Has started throwing random tantrums, mental meltdowns etc.

Thought it was Lymes but that came back as " has been exposed at some point, but per vet hes not displaying classic symptoms to treat" ...


It was emailed to me as a possible explanation, I personally think he has a high level anyway, or maybe he just needs to get beat up a little.

This has been an issue for the past 4 months or so, but was never the case last year ( pre winter ).... Which is why I used Randomly...
