Cosequin amount for 2 week trial

Daughter won an 84 dose container of Cosequin at her last horse trial. We are wondering how much to use to see if it will show any benefits. Horse is currently on Adequan IM shots every 3 weeks per vet to help hock injections "last longer" and for general joint health.

Do you think it's necessary to start out at loading dose amt (2 scoops twice a day) or just start at one or two scoops a day?

I would probably do the loading dose. We put my daughters gelding (stifles) on it last year and started seeing results after the 2nd full week.

Yes--definitely do the full loading dose for the recommended time period. I've used Cosequin on my retired horse, and it does seem to help, even though there are people who say the feed-throughs don't work. It's not that expensive, really, when it's at the maintenance dose.
