I have some straws of frozen from a couple stallions I am considering selling. Any suggestions on how to go about doing so? I wouldn't posted on ewarmbloods before but I don't think it's around anymore. The frozen is costly and not readily available anymore. TIA!

Uncouth has a free classifieds section.

Just curious, were these purchased to breed your mares and they are leftover? If so, can they be re-sold? Do breeders have a say in that? And how would the new "owner" get a breeding certificate? Sorry, not trying to hi jack, just wondering.

I'm also wondering where the best places are to sell breedings (not specifically frozen). I have a breeding to sell (fully OK with stallion owner) and am not sure about how to go about it.

www.CATHForums.com/bbforum has a stallion at stud / frozen semen for sale area. They also have individual breeds forums as wwwarmbloods once had.

Small, but growing and a nice, friendly, non-attacking group of people.

When I have occasionally sold frozen semen it has been extra doses left over that were all bought per dose and with no live foal guarantee. Actually, I have often donated semen to the AHS silent auction, rather than selling it. Usually, mine will be for Hanoverian stallions. In the past my semen agent has supplied breeding certificates, but starting this year people can download frozen semen breeding forms from AHS. If I were to sell to someone who wanted to register with another registry, I'd have to supply a breeding cert from my semen agent.
