I know Doug at Rideauwood Farms was looking into it, but the SO required a minimum order of 20 doses. If you're interested you should let him know. I have been very impressed with the customer service. (And I also want to order a couple of doses of Benetton Dream, so I'm trying to drum up some other people so he can make the 20 dose minimum)

Forte, I'll bring a mare for the OHBS inspection at Rideauwood in 2 weeks. Me too I am interested into Bennetton's Dream semen. To store for some time as I dont have any mare to suit him as for now, but I feel it would be a good thing to have in a tank in couple of years... :)))

I believe you are not allowed to reimport semen from Canada that was imported first there. It has to be directly imported into the US.

can only talk from my own BD colt o/o my tb mare and he is the coolest foal of all - cuddling all the time and easiest to deal with with respect to hoof care, halter.
real stallion when he is playing with his colt friend in the pasture, boy, i wouldn't want to get between the two - but him dealing with people is the greatest pleasure.
have to admit though, the two fillies the mare had before were very similar, so not quiet sure what parent deserves the benefit of providing such character...

fm, if you are using a full TB mare as the dam, she is probably very potent genetically.

I know Doug has been selling semen to US mare owners, so I'm sure he could accomodate you guys. (not sure if he's shipping the semen from Canada or directly from Europe, you'd have to ask him).

Tiki, you wrote:

There was a misconception, widely believed, that frozen semen could not come into canada via USA, but if frozen semen was imported to US for general distribution, it is fine to then import to Canada.
And frozen semen is fine to import from Canada to the USA., and has been for some time.
And I believe BD is listed with A-i Performance Sires. I hope Rideauwood gets it too.

Soperior Equine Sires has Bennetton Dream listed on the website but not in stock now.

On the website: http://www.flaxlion.com/index.php?page=order-semen

scroll down to Canada/US and it says that Kathy Hickerson at Majestic Gaits and Carol Austin at Superior Equine Sires both have it....not sure if they are out or not....

It seems the superior equine sires people list quite a lot of stallions they don't actually have in stock? At least I know they had Sosath stallions listed while someone else had been exclusive rights for those and I thought that was quite an odd approach to list semen for sale they didn't have in their posession. Is this customary in N.A.? Sorry for OT.
As far as BD offspring goes the one we have on our farm is extremely cool and self confident. She is out of an American owned Banditentraum-Don Bosco mare who is also kind of untroubled. BD himself is very docile on the ground. He also scores major brownie points with me for all the poor thing has gone through during his 3 and 4yo years. That's an awfully tough schedule with approval, BC and stallion presentations on top.

There was a really nice BD colt at the WI AHS inspection yesterday, our of a full TK mare by Butow. THe colt was very leggy, and modern looking, quite tall and moved nicely. I believe he was the Co- Colt champion with a Contucci foal, both bred by Doug Langer.
