I am sending a saddle out for readjustment soon. Does anyone have any links or any information about how to do a tracing or other things to send with the saddle to the fitter?
I plan to take pictures of my horse's back and send them to her as well, via email

thanks

See also HastilowCompetitionSaddles, Cliff Barnsby (I think) and Smith-Worthington for other (and more detailed) ideas about how to do accurate and specific tracings.

IMO, more lines closer together is better, as are pics. I went so far as to put pieces of masking tape on my horse where curved lines crossing his back were (as per the saddler's wishes). That, I hoped, would help them put the tracing onto a picture of the real beast.

But it's most important that you follow your saddler's instructions and give the information that *she* asks for. Reflocking at a distance is a bitch. A good saddler and I tried once and failed. I hope you can do better, but info is key to that.

Thank you very much, lots of great information.
This is actually the first adjustment after the original restuffing a few months ago.
