I had a gelding that I sold long ago and had heard he had come to a bad ending, well he hadn't and he was found at sugarcreek auction on friday. Long story short someone remembered that I was looking for him, found me and picked up the horse for me. I was totally not expecting him to ever be found and am not prepared but trying to make due. He is in cambridge OH and needs to come somewhere near NC ( I can meet you) can anyone do this for a reasonable amount? Like I said I wasn't prepared but am SO glad I found him!

You might try contacting http://www.horsejitney.com
I know they've worked with horse rescues in the past so I guess it's worth a shot? They quoted me a pretty reasonable price once to bring a horse down to MD from upstate New York.

I've used them before for a TLC special needs case, and they were GREAT. They have hauled several "special" cases through the years. They also haul dogs and plants, too - lol.
They have a "Special Deliveries" link on their page with testimonials and pictures.

try uship as well and make note of the circumstances.
There are some EXCELLENT shippers and some really BAD shippers there but you can get a good idea by carefully checking their feedback. I was told by a very reputable shipper that I used last that the site is flooded right now with many out of work folks thinking they are going to make a quick buck. Then they do it a few times and flake out when they realize it isn't all that wonderful. The problem is that they take all the deposit money, and then sometimes payment in full and never complete the job or do it in an unacceptable time frame.
I JKM Shipping last...LOVED, LOVED, LOVED him! He can be ready to ship most anywhere in the country within a three day window and his prices are VERY competitive and the horses are cared for so well. My guys got here after a long trip...over a 1000 miles and got stuck for hours extra during a highway closure (major accident). They got here and popped off the truck like they went around the block
PM me if you are interested and I will dig up his phone and email.
