Forgive me if there was a 2007 thread but my search is coming up empty.
How are everyone's babes doing? Are they at a gangly/no neck stage  or you fortunate enough to have a day (when you have a camera) in hand where they are beginning to look like your dreams?
Post them here and give us an update. :)
I'll start with Kali --show name Kalos Selene (ex Hanna Montana).
She is my 2007 BWP filly by Cielo B out of a BWP approved TB mare Redoy Like Gal xx. She is just a hair under 16hh and a total pocket pony. She has begun her groundwork and is behaving a Supahstar! She is braver than our 13 yr old pony and routinely leads him past the 'SCARY' stuff like goats, flapping flags, puddles and killer tractors.
She is really beginning to fill out these past two months and her neck has recently been spotted. It was actually found right where it should be--above her withers and below her head. I don't know where it was hiding last month.

I dont THINK there was a 2007 thread! :) I know there was a 2008 and 2009 and one for 3 and 5 year olds as well, but the 2007's seem to have been missed for some reason ... ;)
Here is my lone remaining 2007 colt - Remember My Name, by Guaranteed Gold out of Puchi Trap - one of 5 full siblings:
Shown in January/February 2009 at a year and a half old:

Lovely!
My Bubble Boy is finally filling out and starting to look more grown up.
He still looks immature to me in many ways (especially when compared to your babies), but he developed a massive chest almost overnight and his boney baby butt is filling out. I'd still like a few more inches of neck, but it's filling in nicely too. He's the tallest horse at the farm now - standing about 16.3+hh. I found myself wondering exactly what his latest growth spurt meant ('spurt' doesn't seem like the right word - he's been a slow & steady grower), so I got out the measuring tape. He's right between 84"-85" I measured a few times to be sure. I'm really looking forward to blanket shopping this fall, NOT!
I took a couple pictures of him a few weeks ago. My computer is resisting me right now, but I'll try to put them up later.

My 2007 has been blessed with not too bad of the fuglies ever in her life. Same thing happened with her half brother and is happening with her full brother so mom must put some good genes into the mix.
Emma's page is here: http://www.emeraldacrestk.com/emma%202.htm

Here's our 2007 guy (Yeager GF/Weltstern/Viking Song) - he is getting handsomer everyday. And he's starting to get wider and fit into his head at last! We took him to a show last week, to hang out and get used to the atmosphere, and he was great. I am sooo excited that we are keeping him!
The first few pics of him moving are from last week:

We only had one foal in 2007. She was born 35 days early and nearly didn't make it. Not surprisingly, she is very small - probably won't top 14.2. She is a cutie though and about as roan as you can get in a Thoroughbred (although you can't tell in her winter woolies).

My July 4, 2007 filly (by Paparazzo, out of an All The Gold mare) is continuing to grow and fill out. I'm thrilled with her personality - she's a love considering what she's been through recently. Puncture wound turned into septic fetlock joint (surgically cleaned), turned into serious colic while still at the vet school and almost went into surgery again. She's finally back at home on stall rest and meds every 6 hours - so I'm a little exhausted right now!
She's a beautiful palomino with white mane and tail - and lots of mane and tail! About 15.3 right now - hoping she'll end up around 16.1. Can't post pictures...

I have a 2007 AHS filly by Lord Albert (Londonderry x Brentano II) out of my Kalypso/Diamont daughter. She is about 16 hh now, and I'm thinking she is quite spiffy this summer.

Mine's still leggy, narrow, and gangly. Every once in a while she starts looking normal, then her butt shoots up an inch or two, the topline disappears, out comes the potbelly, and there we go again. She's always been a gorgeous mover though, and if anything is getting even better with age. She's also starting to grow into that head of hers finally. Now she's about 15.3 (she's a May baby). Her dam was 16h and her sire Westporte is 16.3h so she seems like she'll end up in the middle. I'm getting the feeling like she won't really be filled out and pretty until she's 4-5 though.
These are from her 2nd birthday, the first time she wore a saddle

Has everyone been breeding and raising babies forever? Is there any "bible" that you could recommend for someone without experience raising a foal? Any words of advice? I'm considering buying a colt.

Our 2007 filly just returned to us.. She sold at 6 weeks old but her owner has fallen on hard times and we are going to help get her sold. The filly is the SWEETEST horse ever. She is totally bombproof and always has been. She is truly a treat to have at the farm.

My 2007 filly was the "oops" filly - vet switched straws at insemination and wasnt till after inspection we knew! But she is the most fortunate mistake! "Lucy" is by Rosario out of my Trakehner/Arab mare. Just a golden temperament from the day she was foaled and showing much promise. She recently did her first in hand show and treated the whole event as if she had done it 100 times already, interested in what was going on, but calm and cool about everything (her dam though is much the same way). I just started playing with her with wearing a surcingle/saddle -all accepted with her calm "what else can we do" attitude - just absolutely love her temperament!
Here's a video clip of her as a yearling :

I am headed up to Dressage by the Bay this weekend to watch her there. Maybe this time I will remember my CAMERA!!

Our 2 yr old Swedish Warmblood Cross CSHA colt is 17.2hh - He lunges with tack and has started longlining. I usually do a 10-15 minute lunge once a week. He gets clipped and his feet done regularly. He pastures with my gelding.
After a work out I always take him for a walk around the property.
He has learned to breed - we have a very experienced broodmare that accepted him readily and is now in foal to him.
He will do two breed shows this year as well as the Royal Winter Fair.
Here is a pic from a recent walkabout. He is quite muscular but has not grown into his head/neck yet.

Our 2007 colt has been sold and is starting work under saddle and doing really well.
My 2007 filly (my orphan) is still looking a bit gawky/immature but I'm very happy with her. Can't beat her temperament and no-nonsense been-there-done-that attitude. Getting her ready for her big show debut at the Midwest Connemara Pony Show :D I'm on pins and needles and probably going to be very emotional showing my baby girl.
Can't get pictures of her for the life of me. She's a velcro-pony and is the first to greet you in the pasture. :)

Thank you Home Again - the breeding gods were indeed very kind to me. Lucy is a wonderful example of getting what you wanted when you didn't even know you ordered it lol!
Intentional or not, it is inspiring to see the quality of offspring people are sharing. Look forward to the next couple of years and seeing the potential of these youngsters unfold.

No worries - I feel that way about one of our yearlings right now (and he was the fanciest of all of our babies so far as a weanling)! They all 'bloom' at different times... I keep trying to get him to gain some weight, and he just gets taller and taller. Our other yearling (a filly) looks really good at the moment, but the colt may have to stay hidden for a while until he grows into himself, lol.

Here is my 2 year old Espionage (Sammy). He is by Escapade and out of my appendix QH mare Lily. He was 2 in April and these were taken 2 or 3 weeks ago. He is not really as big as the picture makes him appear. He was almost 15'2 when I last measured him a couple months ago and I expect him to finish at 15'3 to 16H.

I have not taken any updated pics lately.....I do need to. Junior (reg APHA name White Tie Affair: Wild By Design x Whiz Chick) is around 15.2H and expected to mature at 16.1 to 16.2H. He has been one of the few to NOT go through any real ugly stages (at least not if viewed from the side!). From the side he looks good. His only issue is if you look at him from the FRONT! Then there is no chest yet and he looks very narrow. I have to have time to give him a bath before I take pics though as he is all white. A brown horse ya can just dust the dirt off! I am not out of the woods yet on the uglies though. His sire's worst growth spurt uglies came at 3..........

My two year olds are not cut from the same cloth at all, LOL. The TK/TB filly (by Oskar) is beautiful, has been since her dam spit her out. She is really filled out through her body -- very deep and also very leggy, beautiful head and very serene expression. She is a light, balanced mover. The GOV/TB gelding (by Corlando) is steadily maturing and evening out. He is more substantial but not heavy, very striking and handsome. He has always been a scopey, rhythmic mover, big pretty eyes! I don't know sizes, misplaced my stick -- but both are over my head, LOL. I'll try to get some new pictures when I have some help. Congrats to all and their beautiful 2 y.o's -- it's a real journey getting them this far safely!

I have just one, barn name Handsome aka Marquee Romance, by A Fine Romance out of Jeweller's Mark, by Hallmark. I don't have any updated pictures, just some of him as a yearling, but he too never went through the yak phase. He is big and handsome,
very beautiful head, leggy and powerful, substantial yet elegant and refined.
I am hoping to get him out to some shows this summer, and take him to the Royal Winter Fair in November.
I do have a couple of pics taken when he was a yearling, just out in the paddock, and perhaps I can ask someone to post them for me.
As TKR said, congrats to everyone on their lovely 2yr olds!

my guy (tb, by lido palace out of a cox's ridge mare) is enjoying an unplanned semi-vacation these days. i planned on backing him in august, instead i tried to cut off my right thumb, so not a lot of riding for me for the next 3-4 months  but i have perfected the art of 1 handed lunging and he trained himself to go through the jump chute, so i guess i'll dabble in that for a while. he's such a good dude though, nothing fazes him. and he has an amazing trot - until you see his canter, then you realize his trot isn't special in comparison! when i first saw him canter as a yearling, i said "holy crap, i can see the distance to the first fence and its years away!"

This is our CSHA swedish wb/draft cross (commercial cross - clyde/hackneyhorse- out of a Shady Maple Mare) stud colt
We were at a breed show on the weekend - he is definitely not your a-typical hunter type sport horse - plus as a 17.2hh 2 yr old he kind of towered over everyone else - he was pretty good considering it was his first time off the property since november and as a stud colt he had to show with mares and there were a lot of mares on property. As well as some serious flies and temperatures of 40 degrees with the humidex.
Enjoy the pics.

Here is my girl. She is just a tad under 16hh and i am hoping she will finish around 16.2hh. I have had her for a year now and she hasn't gone through an ugly stage yet, just a tad gawky and thin.
She is so brave. I arrived at the barn today to her standing on top of a tarp out in her turnout. How that got there, I have no idea. But better she try to smush it than run from it I suppose!
She is also a fabulous mover and will hopefully be a wonderful hunter. I am so excited to back her next summer!

Took a couple of "au natural" pics of my 2yr old Sagnol filly. She was 2yrs old in June and currently stands 16.2+HH. She is out of my former dressage mare Vanity (Vulcaan/Marcellini xx). I am thrilled with her as she is a clone of her mom who I made the hard decision to sell when I got pregnant with my first. Here is to hoping for more time in the future and my next dressage girl!

This is our '07 baby. He's out of a 17hh Dutch/TB mare by a Trak Stallion. We didn't mean to own him but when we bought another really really nice prospect that decided he wanted to be dressage only, an opportunity to sell him came up that included this guy. He's ~16hh now but unlike many of these others, he looks like a big yearling, so we suspect he's got a lot more growing up to do.
~3 days old, he was something like 11.2hh tall. I took the pic, not realizing he'd be ours a year later.

He's ready for a job mentally and enjoys working but we're waiting till later next year to back him. He lunges, loads, bathes, farrier and can saddle him and we just started bridle work over the weekend.
Little sucker is so balanced for his age. He does this soft canter with flying lead changes and it's disgusting. He can canter in hand at the same speed we trot, lol

It was his first trailer ride and first show....he was a squirmy worm trying to get him to stand up for the judges and he was tense/nervous at his walk trot.....but he didn't misbehave either so all in all it was a successful day for his first field trip.
He is 15.3H/expected to mature to 16.2H and not as mature looking as some of the other 2 YOs.....mine still looks like a baby. That was one of the judges comments from this weekend...immature looking for age....but hey. Nothing to do about that but time. I owned his sire who was a very "late bloomer" and daddy's worst growth spurt uglies came at 3....so something to look forward to (ha ha ha). He was not so fond of his braids and doing his best to rub them out at the trailer........I was just happy they (sorta) survived long enough to get in the ring.

Time for updates all! Nearly a year has passed since this thread started so I am sure there have been some changes.
Our 2007 Cielo B filly has begun under saddle with an amazing trainer up here. This trainer has given not only our filly a great start but has also spent 2 different weeks with our 13 yr old daughter in tow as a working student to ensure that she has the best possible start.
This week was to be Kali's final week with the trainer and the opportunity presented itself to take her and my daughter to a schooling show for the experience. The plan was to do whatever they were comfortable with, even if it was only grazing on the sidelines. In the end, they went into the beginner horse flat division in W/T and W/T/C.
There were no ribbons (expecially considering they were riding in Dressage tack at a Hunter show ) but there were smiles all round.

Our "baby" is 16ish hands and has been under saddle LIGHTLY (ridden once every 3-4 weeks) since October. He's got a great head on his shoulders and if he wasn't this good, we wouldn't be able to have started him like we have.
We started hauling him to schooling shows when he was 1 1/2 and he's been EASY. I know it sounds odd to not ride more regularly than that but he looks like a big yearling still, but he will be three in a couple of days. We're going to start doing more with him soon and if the next two-three weeks go well, he'll go do a w/t dressage test at Poplar later this month.

Here is a link to a photo of one of my '07 babies. This one is Capstone TKR, by Corlando out of Daring Misdemeanor. Misdemeanor is a 3rd generation Thoroughbred which I bred for sport and a Main Studbook GOV mare, all Premium foals. Capstone is now doing groundwork under saddle and hopefully, I can find the time to start getting on and get him going. He's too big for me, but has become a really nice one. I also have an '07 Trakehner filly by Oskar II. I'll have to get a good picture of her, too.

I don't have any current pics. Junior (White Tie Affair: APHA stud colt) is 15.3H/should mature at 16.1 or 16.2H.He is going walk/trot under saddle and just started trotting cavaletti. No canter yet. He is getting a butt, the neck is better than last year (was ewe necked at 2) and still narrow in the chest and all leggy looking. He talks to the girls in the next field on occasion but all in all he has done *very* well with not getting too distracted by the chicks during work time though he can see them.

Siesta (by Hadrian, out of my 15.1 H TrakX mare, Seville) is a whopping 16.3 and the ham of the farm. He keeps mysteriously getting out of his field (I suspect by jumping out because he's always alone and we can't find any holes in the fence) - he's a piece of cake to catch even then, no carrots or other enticement needed. We'll be bringing him down to the barn for backing this week - I can't WAIT! Hopefully, he'll be as easy-going to ride as he is to handle. I don't have any current pics of him, but here's my favorite from last year where you can see his personality:

Here is a video of our 3-year-old gelding, Cordeiro, at the 2010 Eastern Canadian Free Jumping Competition, where he won the 3-year-old class. Cordeiro is by the Canadian Warmblood stallion VDL Ulando (Corland x Ahorn) and is out of our Voltaire x Nurzeus mare.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbRy8Ok1SAA
Cordeiro had an unusual start in life. He was a dummy foal at birth, and spent his first 10 days of life in critical care at the University of Guelph large animal clinic in Ontario. We were given a 30% chance that he would survive, but as you can see, he made it!!! He's nearly 17 hh now, and is a cheeky monkey, spending his days roughhousing with his older full brother, Bovaire, who, when he was a 3-year-old, was Champion of the 2009 Eastern Canadian Free Jumping Competition.

Lovebug is at charm school. He hasnt been off the property before, so this seemed like a good time. He is learning to be civil, and ground drive, and lunge a bit. Then he will come home, get thrown out again, and in the winter I will start him for real. He is still too big and gawky to be really ridden, and his tiny baby brain still needs time to mature. He thinks he is in grad school right now. He loves freejumping, and is super at it, so that part is easy. He may go out next year to a free jump competition.
