The business plan is in place, insurance is pending, the directors are chosen, 501c3 paperwork just about ready to file, lesson plans are done and fundraising goals and events are planned and volunteers and clients are waiting for the word. The lawyers say it is "time"!
All we need a formal name
We will be offering a sensory trail, small ag programs (think 4h for special needs children), and continued equine assisted activities. We are hoping to expand those activities to include therapeutic riding next year, and eventually driving by 2011.
We work with children and adults, they come to us with many different special needs, and we are now beginning to accept children and adults with terminal illnesses.
The farm is small but surrounded by lovely trails. We are in upstate NY. We also raise Heritage Breed ducks and chickens, they will be included in the program as well.
COTH members are so wonderfully creative that I hope you might help us toss around some ideas for a name. My "day job" is in marketing and design but sometimes it is hard to do it for yourself! I know me too well and miss some possibilities!
thank you!
