KWPN Branding

Does anyone know what year KWPN stopped branding horses??

August 2001, according to this other BB (http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/showflat.php?Number=2842306&page=0) (maybe half way down page; do search on page for "2001").

I ride a Dutch horse who was born in 2001 and is not branded so that makes some sense since he probably wouldn't have been inspected until later in 2001.

And that would only be in Holland. Branding is still optional in North America.
