I was recently at a show with my friend just being her groom. She had finished her jumping rounds on her pony, so I offered to walk him around since he was breathing so heavily. She said that the best thing for him was to just stand in the shade. Her pony is six years old, has wind puffs, and is jumping its regulation height already. Shouldn't the pony be walked out in order to prevent more wind puffs from popping up? What do you think?

walking out dosen't prevent or decrease windpuffs to my knowledge, although it's not a bad idea after a jumper round to help him cool out and bring his respiration back down.

agee with cosmos also it would help if you removed the bandages/boot in between each class and massage the legs dry before re applying clean boots or bandages
especiall if they go through water as bandages can constrict
