Given the continuing difficult economic conditions, the organizing committee has decided to condense the Fall HT at the Ark (October 10-11) down into a one-day (October 10th only), reduce entry and stabling fees, and add FEH/YEH classes (October 9th; $50 and $75, respectively). All divisions (except Maiden Test) are now $150 and stabling is $40/night (Thursday-Saturday; $15/night early arrival and layover). The 4th Semi-Annual Waxhaw Tack Exchange Across the Levels Team Challenge will continue to run as planned.

We’ve been carefully watching other summer events' entries both in our Area and Area 3, and believe that this change is necessary to run. The USEA on-line omnibus is not yet updated, but our webpage is: www.whynotanamericanark.com.

We hope you will support our efforts to remain viable, affordable, and on the Area 2 calendar.

A monster 'Thank You' for the early heads up! It makes a huge difference being able to plan so far out. The course looked great for the Spring HT (darned rain), all the work you guys have done really shows.

I hope that this change helps to fill your event, I'd hate to see The Ark get lost in this economic *#@% storm!

The big palomino will be there!

Wow, that is great news for us, at least, being only 30 min away!! And lower fees are ALWAYS welcome....

Kudos!

Hope to send you a YEH entry - depends on if the YP is still above ground. I am stuck with a dressage show that weekend :(.

Thank you, Abbey! I was planning on sending my entry fee anyway, but this makes it MUCH more palatable (all in one day makes more time to grade papers!).

I truly appreciate everything you guys do to make our lives easier, more affordable, and of course - FUN!

I was just informed that because we are we're running as a one-day and not doing our usual competitors' party on Saturday night at the HT, that the farm owners will be preparing homemade BBQ all day for all competitors and volunteers! If you've liked the roasted chicken in the past, then hold on to your hats for slow-smoked, farm raised, traditional Carolina BBQ!

While opening day is next week, you'll have to wait until October 10th to eat!!

Entries are low for the Fall HT and YEH/FEH classes...we want very much to run! The facility owner has been working diligently on the course seeding and aerating, and all the jumps are getting a fresh coat of paint to sparkle in pictures. :-) And don't forget the free BBQ all day!
