Looking for some advice on a Trial agreement. Don't have much experience yet with legal aspect of this. Understand, I have done homework and know to be careful!! I have a wonderful client looking to get first pony for her daughter. I'm assuming seller brings the trial agreement and if purchase follows, Bill of Sale. Do I really need anything? Do I need to bring Agreement? I have one. It is a seven day trial, have binder, etc.
Any advice would be great. Thanks for your thoughts and help.

You're right as far as I would do it, at least.. Seller provides the trial agreement & BOS. Both of you should look over it and agree that it is exactly what you want and what was discussed. That's pretty much it, sometimes the seller will want a deposit of the sale price, as well as insurance bought for agreed on trial period. Other than that, it's just a matter of signing papers and moving the horse if needed.

What about being a seller who wants to mandate a trial period to make sure that the horse works well for all parties? I have someone looking at my horse and I'm not even 100% sure I want to sell him but if this party wants to buy him, I can always find another horse. I'm just not sure that the fit is right and before everyone goes buying horses, I think a trial is in order.

Is this uncommon? For the seller to set conditions like this?
