I just received word (as a scribe for this event), that this show may have to be cancelled because there are not enough entries. The entries closed today, HOWEVER, Deb Borra said:
"As of this morning - Tuesday, July 14 - our show secretary, Katja Eilers reports that the Paduka Run Show does not have enough entries to warrant the expense of putting on the show. As you are aware - today is the closing date for entries.
This annual show is a huge undertaking - both financial and in volunteer time. While we have historically run the show at times on only a break even point or small loss with the intent to service our members and keep recognized dressage strong and alive in our area, as I am sure you know - in these troubled financial times, WNYDA is not able to absorb a huge financial loss.
At this time - if you or someone that you know were intending to enter this show and did not get your entry in by the closing date (today) - we ask that you communicate with Katja immediately and get your entry in. More entries are the ONLY thing that will change the current situation at hand.
We had good sponsorship participation this year lined up to help offset costs of this show and a great deal of organizational work, time and money has already been expended - however - if not enough of our members or those living in the area feel it important to participate in the show, no amount of sponsorship is able to offset all that is involved. Unfortunately, the area will be losing a wonderful opportunity that may not easily return into the future."
PLEASE, if you have any interest in attending this wonderful show in the Genesee Valley, please email Katja

and let them know your intentions. This is an USEF, USDF Recognized Open Dressage Competition, with excellent judges, and fabulous footing in the arenas. The Sport Horse Inspection is Friday 24th. it is a USDF Recognized Breeders Championship Qualifier.
