She seems very witty and smart, and I have been following her posts for a while.
I have always wondered how/where she got her education, and I am totally serious!
She always has a reasoned response to most educated questions, she obviously rides dressage.
So Eggy, a few questions for you (from an honest admirer):
1) Who the hell is Muffy?
2) Who do you admire as a dressage trainer (Obviously not Muffy)?
3) What are your favorite bloodlines?
4) Do you like Barack Obama or not? Do you think Cheney misled Congress?
5) If you could own any horse on the planet, who would it be?
Thanks for your respose Eggy!
From an almost GP rider. :)

WEll....Eggy is a french heiress that has a lot of class and style and a huge education.
She lives in parts far off now- by choice as she did live the 'big life' for many years and loved it...I think she still owns a castle in France, overlooking the Atlantic...and she has a vineyard somewhere over there- because we always have a great glass of Bordeaux...when we meet and discuss..the matters of life and of course politics...dressage and breeding as well.
It's hard to get to know her...but I think she will note your compliments and respond in due time....;)

Oh my. The Proust interview.
Sabine is very kind and has many details correct. :)
1) Who the hell is Muffy?
Twin sister to Misty.
2) Who do you admire as a dressage trainer (Obviously not Muffy)?
I've said it often before: Mrs. Mabel Dimblekins.
3) What are your favorite bloodlines?
I love them all.
4) Do you like Barack Obama or not? Do you think Cheney misled Congress?
Those questions must be discussed over a large bottle of wine.
5) If you could own any horse on the planet, who would it be?
I already have him!
:):):)
Now I hope this falls off the first page before all the non-admirers wake up.

SO, is it "Ego and Toast"?

c'mone Coreene,
I *know* Eggy, and scrambled is definitely it.
(and that's as in, I *know* Eggy, and you're no Eggy!," however, not meant with vehemence at all... just the reference cracks me up. Y'know, like a shell cracks... :p )

Eggy and I go WAY back. In fact, we may enjoy a fine French wine on the coast this summer!

I always thought Eggy lived in SLC's basement. I had flashbacks from that horror film- "SLC, LEAVE RIGHT NOW, THE E-MAILS ARE COMING FROM INSIDE THE HOUSE!"

That's hilarious - I saw that movie as a kid and it scared the bejezus out of me.

Ah yes, Egon von Toast, who dropped the "von" so as not to seem pretentiously european- unlike that other pretender to the name, Egon von Niendorf, who holed up in a castle in the south of Germany and practiced dressage so some say. Our Egon does not need to practice...
That other poster's musing about the "ego" in the name are interesting. Why don't you tell us about your childhood?

Gosh, Ambrey, I thought YOU lived in Jane's basement!
Nope, my mom's. It's OK, though, I have shag carpeting down here.

Rumour has it that Egon spent her childhood following hoofprints in the forest and digging through manure piles in an effort to find the pony.

Got bad news Eggy--once you've been the subject of THIS kind of thread, you are no longer Nobody.

The pony was on TOP of the manure pile. Egon had set her sights too LOW.
The manure pile was VERY tall...

Further inquiries re: prominent members of the von Toast family can be made via PM to keep the focus on dressage vs. each other. ;)
