I have some forward-slippage issues with my saddle, so my trainer recommended I get a County Logic girth to correct it. Unfortunately, they are very expensive and I haven't had much luck finding a used one. She has one to loan me until I get something myself, but I figured I would look into alternatives to the County girth. Dover has a couple of girths that look similar, but are about half the price. One is the Wintec Cair girth and the other is the Ovation Comfort Girth. Anyone have any experience with either of these, or is it just better for me to save my money for a County girth?
Before anyone suggests it, my trainer also suggested I have my saddle fit checked by a saddler if the girth doesn't do the trick, hence my borrowing one of hers before I buy one. But I really don't think its my saddle, I think it's my horse's big round barrel that pushes the saddle forward. ;-)

There are a few other options - my trainer wanted me to get one too (most of her students have them). I actually didn't like the girth that much, it is totally lacking in elastic - not enough stretch for true comfort in my books.
VTO has several contoured cut-back girth options:

I have a Treadstone girth - I noticed their newer model (the comfort model) is cut a bit different. I've had great luck with it - my horse is happier in it then the County Logic girth that I got on eBay!
However, I'm not sure a girth with help with slippage. You might consider checking to see if the saddle is a bit too wide - maybe a little restuff will help - or even a correction pad?

Thanks I will check those out!
I'm not sure if the girth will help either, I'm just following my trainer's suggestions. She said she thinks the saddle might be a touch too wide, but she said to try the girth first. So if her girth doesn't help, I'll be getting in touch with a saddler!
