Hello, everyone, I'm currently hoping to find a trainer to help my horse and I. We are located in Columbia Station and are willing to travel up to 45 minutes.

We've been doing hunters competitively for the past few years now in the Low Adults (2'6"). Before we switched over to hunters only we were doing some dressage (first level at NODA shows) as well as hunters and his previous owner showed him dressage as well as jumpers. We've been out of the dressage world now for quite some time. However, I'm hoping to get back into it a bit as I think we could both use the dressage work :) I plan to still keep taking hunter lessons as well but would like to show at the local levels in both hunters and dressage. We're just looking to have fun but still learn a lot. I'm also hoping the dressage will help us in terms of impulsion and bending :)

I'm looking for somebody who is good but very friendly and won't mind helping a hunter :) I would need to have someone who will either allow me to trailer in or be willing to come out to Columbia Station. Any and all suggestions are welcome :)

I do still have all of my dressage stuff so I won't be coming into the barn with my hunter stuff :lol: Sorry for the novel and thanks in advance!

Michael Peters is near you. He is a great guy. He was a working student at Temple farms for years working with both Curtis Sage and George Williams.

Here are two more people I know in NE Ohio that might be close:
Nancy Lewis Stanton

Charlotte Bayley

You also may want to check out a NODA show to meet trainers?

There is a girl at my barn who rides dressage and we are possibly going to watch her this weekend so I will definitely keep my eyes peeled for trainers :) I'm also going to ask her if she has any recommendations but we rarely are out at the barn at the same time :(

Second vote for Michael Peters. He's been great for my event horses...the younger one scored a 25.5 (that's 74.5 in the dressage world) at his first event out after a winter with Michael's help.

Feel free to PM me.
