Since I know everyone is soooo busy during foaling/inspection time, I figured the fastest way to get registry info was to post it on the board!
I'm taking my TB mare to GOV approvals in a week. I thought I had everything ready, but now am second guessing myself:
The question is - Is the Equineline.com 5-generation pedigree what GOV is looking for?
I guess it threw me off when the paper work said "Original and a Copy" - b/c, in reality, you can print however many as you'd like online.
I'm REALLY hoping GOV isn't looking for that "frameable" pedigree on fancy paper for $$. I don't think I could have it in time for inspection...

Printing the pedigree off of the website is fine. They want the original document of her registration papers and a copy of those as well.

Unfortunately, the stuff you print from equineline is just a copy of the bloodlines & isn't official.
The original pedigree is on the stuff that looks like its on expensive paper & on the back, it contains information on races won & the mare's ownership. That ownership information on the back is like the "pink slip" for a car - shows ownership & that's why it is generally required.
Most other registries that accept TBs as breeding stock require it - although ironically, the Jockey Club often permits you to breed a mare without actually having the original document.
If you didn't get it with your mare, you may have difficulty getting it - it could have been returned to the Jockey Club so she couldn't be bred/raced, and even if it just got lost, the person who lost it needs to certify how it got lost & then it costs something like $200 or $300 to replace it.
But call the GOV & see if they've got better information or suggestions & also call the Jockey Club & see whether they can help - and good luck.
