Yup . Wrote up a bill of sale and the owner and I signed it yesterday. I bought my crippled useless little Momma's boy who's completely and utterly spoiled rotten. He sold for a handsome sum--$1. Which is more than the BO paid for him .

He mostly just stands around and looks pretty (which he's very good at), but I occasionally hop on him and walk around a bit.

Haha, sorry.. With the whole mess with Irish, I wanted to make sure Wilson wasn't going anywhere, and BO agreed.. so at least one matter is settled.

LOL, sorry, Katie. It's been hectic.
Here's his pedigree: http://www.pedigreequery.com/imafavoritetrick
He won over $100,000 on the track (the info on PedigreeQuery isn't up to date) and he set a track record that's still standing. And now he's crippled and useless.

Yes, that was me. I don't know what's happening. But I wanted to buy my baby before it was too late.

Hey ! I have one of those lawn ornament thingy's too ! Got mine for the same price. Sometimes it just seems like the right thing to do when a horse is out of options. Join the Bleeding Hearts Club!

A buck doesn't get you much these days, but I think you got a lot of love for your dollar. Congratulations, and thanks for giving a fella down on his luck a home. I bet he'd love to learn something like clicker training with you. :)

Crippled maybe, but useless, never. Even a pet horse is fulfilling a purpose. My guys are everything from ride on lawnmowers, weedeaters, tree trimmers, babysitters, guard horses, emotional therapy instructors, feed tub cleaners, grain vacuum cleaners, hay picker uppers, but useless, NOT A CHANCE. Thankyou for giving this wonderful guy a home and heres hoping the chestnut is also returned to you and katie nicole.

He's not useless. Pasture Maintenance Engineering is a very time consuming occupation. I think he is just right for the job, and good looking to boot.

Amastrike, he's quite the handsome boy! Congratulations!
I have a lawn ornament too. Darn good looking useless one! Not because he's crippled, just becaue he's 'speshul':lol:
My cats and kids and DH are all 'speshul' too!:lol:
Me though, I'm just nuts. They are waiting for me to wander off one day when the dementia sets in. :D:cool:

He is an accessory lawn ornment. His job is to make sure none of the grass gets higher than 2". that is a very serious job...

He doesn't look crippled in that first photo! What renders him unrideable? Could you teach him to drive? He's lovely.

[QUOTE=arabhorse2;4240585]No, no, no! He's a Pasture Maintenance Engineer. ;)QUOTE]
That gives you the title of PMS - Pasture Maintenance Supervisor!
Remember, a horse is only useless if no one wants him!
Congrats, he's a cutie!

He has a bum knee (arthritis). Thankfully, he can't read x-rays, so HE doesn't know he's crippled . He's not entirely unrideable, just mostly. Every once in a while I hop on him and we walk around a bit and maybe try a wee bit of trot. I would not want to be in a cart pulled by this horse, he's a bit.. ah.. frisky. I mostly just look at him and tell him how pretty he is and clip fun shapes into his hair. Currently, he has hearts on his butt :D.
My dad came out today to do a Coggins and give him vaccinations. His verdict is "he's kind of a nice horse." Which is VERY high praise from my dad, who isn't too big on horses . And he IS a nice horse--he's very sweet and loving and cuddly. It's a shame he's not sound.
