This is not an announcement, nor a brag - just sharing a picture that I received from a friend of her new filly. She captured a very special moment with the mare and her brand new foal.

Let me email her so she won't be so clueless as to how all of a sudden everyone knows about this picture :D I just couldn't resist posting this here for you all. It tugs every glorious heart string that a breeder has ever felt. It really is one of those lucky to capture moments.

I took off of work to drink in all the moments of having a new foal. I thank my family for letting me have my last hurrah, a couple of foals, before I get too old to keep up with all of the physical aspects of having had my horses at home in my backyard for the past 30 yrs. Nothing beat having the family all together out in the stall at 3 a.m., kids in pajamas, for the blessed event. I saw this picture and I melted all over again!

That is such an amazing photo - way too precious. Photo shop it to remove the background, enlarge and frame it. ;) I would buy a big copy of that. The mare's eyes are amazing.
