I am thinking of ordering a pair but they only run in whole sizes. I am a 9 1/2 foot. Anyone out there have a pair of these boots. Do they run big? I am trying to decide if I order a 9 or a 10.

Thanks

Which model? The ones that are bulkier (like their winter boots) run a little big, but the more refined ones (the traditional looking dress boots and field boots) run true to size, maybe slightly on the narrow side. I do have wide feet though, so it might just be me.

I am an 8.5 (in workout shoes, I can wear an 8 in many shoes) and i ordered a 9 and have no problems - ice rider and richmond high rider.

Note that I ride in a fairly thick socks, I have a lot of metal plates/screws on the outside of one leg and so I "pad up a bit" -

However, I would still want the 9s. I have ridden in thin socks and it's OK.

I will say that they do make a "wide" wide calf and my suspicion is the normal is wider than say ariats - I need the wide calf in the MH, but it's a bit big and roomy, but in the ariats, I couldn't even zip up the wides.

I love the richmonds - I can stand in them and walk around a lot without any ankle issues and that's pretty impressive.

Do order up, possibly by a whole size. I have their Sportive II dress boots in a size 10; I normally take an 8 1/2 or 9 shoe. I do have to wear two pairs of socks; a 9 1/2 would have fit perfectly but they don't make it!

For calf widths -- they definitely run MUCH wider than Ariats. My 10s are a regular calf and I do NOT have thin legs. The 9 Wide was a little too small in the foot and a little too wide in the calf.

I'm quite happy with these boots; they are a bit more "clunky" than some of the other styles, but they fit well.

I have a pair of the Classics which run narrower than the supportives - much more like the Ariat boots! I have a pretty narrow calf, and they are a nice, snug fit. I will say they are quite comfy. I found the foot runs true to size.

A couple of years ago, I tried on the Supportives and they were VERY wide in the calf. So I guess the different models all fit very different.

I have a pair of the mountain high rider boots, and I love them. I found they they are true to size. Additionally, these feel like tennis shoes and they last forever! They are great! Enjoy your pair!

Hmm, I usually wear a 7.5, but the MH Richmond field boots in a 7 fit me perfectly.

Mine ran true to size. I would order up, especially if you don't want to have to worry about sock thickness

True to size here, but I like to wear thicker socks as well, so I was very happy with them. The calves on the wides ARE much wider than the ariats - I think that their gusset system is a little better and stretchier, which makes them more comfortable. I found that they were TOO wide, however I had a couple of gussets taken out by my bootmaker and now they're perfect.

One thing that I wish they would do, however, is come out with a higher end dress boot that is more like their higher end field boot, or at least more like the Richmonds. I tried on their dress boot and wasn't quite as happy with it as I am with my Richmonds...
