Are there any full seats out there hate are cool enough for summer?
Lately I've only been wearing my Kerrits knee patch schooling tights, because my full seats are tooo hot!
But there's nothing like full seats to help you stick in there when sitting the trot.
Any comfy light weight faves for summer?

I've heard great things about the Tropical Riders and plan to get a pair next time they have a sweet sale (I missed the last one which was 40% off practically everything... makes them suddenly quite reasonably priced). Without a sale, some are a bit spendy, but they do have some styles that are pretty reasonably priced for full seats = ) If you like ultrasuede full seats, those are very nicely priced.

have two pair of the 'french terry cloth' full seats and they are quite cool, also the deer skin leather is not to thick and super comfy.
They also have a fabric called EquiCool, but I have not tried that.

On the cheaper end, I haven't had any problems with my On Course Cotton Natural full seats in the summer.

I ride in these year around - Clarino on the seats give you stick but don't over-heat you like leather.

And they're relatively inexpensive but nice quality enough for show.

I found the cotton natural too hot and thick in the humidity. I hear they have a light weight version, it that what you have? Where did you get yours?
Fantastic

I love these! Full seats with ultrasuede. The low rise fit me normally not low, because I am kinda small. I also have the normal waisted ones, but I have to roll the top down.
You can also put silk under them in the colder months and they don't feel bulky.

My cotton naturals must be the light ones because they are pretty thin. Some sizes are on sale for $35 at Equestrian Collections now, but in the past I believe I got them from horseloverz.

I just ordered a second pair of Tuffrider Aerocool full seats. I can definitely notice a difference when riding in the heat in them, they're a lot cooler. If you Google around you can find some really good deals on them.

I'm in for Tuff Rider Aerocools. Also try FITS All Seasons - http://www.fitsriding.com/as_fullseat.php - they have a segmented full seat so there is less fabric to make your "creases" sweat!
Also, wear light-coloured breeches (ie. beige) when you can - they don't absorb as much heat as dark-coloured ones do.

I love my FITS, even in the summer. They're cool, and quick drying, and super comfy :-)

I have a pair of these that aren't full seats, so I can't comment on those. But the non-full seats definitely keep me cool. The fabric looks a little heavier than some breeches, but I find that it wicks away the sweat, keeps me cool, and gets WAY less gross than some of my other breeches = ) I'd imagine they're pretty reasonably priced too.

I have long been an Arista full seat fan. They have a light weight line with the full leather seat that is awesome for the hot humid months. Just remember to wash them in cold water with Woolite so that you don't turn the leather in to sandpaper.

Equissentials PowerTricot are the absolute coolest. Thin and shiny, they might not be for everyone – but they feel like the AC has been turned on.
Coming in second place would be Tropical Riders Enduracool. More forgiving, more flattering – but not quite as cool. Although fantastic nonetheless.
I have several pair of both and love them.
I love the PowerTricot so much I ordered 2 pair for my summer wardrobe, as regular leggings w/o deerskin. One in Capri length!
I'm a sweatball, and these are the only things that keep me cool. :D

I have both the TR's and the FITS as well. The Aerocools - I find the most comfortable, the coolest and on par with FITS for best fit / flexibility. THey are MUCH cheaper too. I will say I had to get one seam re-stitched on one pair - but the 2 others I have are fine.

I just bought a pair of Ovation Micro DX Perfect form full seat breeches. I LOVE the material because it's more sleek than the traditional fabric. The full seat area has a mesh-like lining that keeps you cooler and drier in hot weather. I almost always ride in full seats, so I will be getting my money's worth out of these breeches. I also bought another OVation micro DX pair in light tan for showing (full seat) which have the same lining, but the fabric is different and has mini-ribbing.

Yikes!!
Okay...first, let me say that my vote for this thread is absolutely the Tropical Rider Enduracools... they are *unbelievably* comfortable, stretchy, and wick away moisture. Love these, and have several pair, both deerskin and ultrasuede full seats.
They (in my fluffy opinion) are NOT particularly flattering, but I'm about function over form, so I go with 'em and try not to think about it.
If the TRs are more flattering and forgiving than the Equissentials... well, yikes!

I know, kinda scary – but I haven't made my barn mates' eyes bleed yet. (Or perhaps, they've just turned away in fear?):D:D:D
But I'm into comfort, so from a cool POV, Equissentials are the ones. Mind you: for non-fluffy, fit and dimple-less riders, flattering and forgiving may not be an issue?

Tropical Riders enduracool are the best. With the dearskin full seat. And like mentioned above, watch for their mega sales!! :) It really brings the price of the britches down to a reasonable amount!

Look for Full seats lined with that Drilex stuff. The ones that SkippinwithPippin talked about Ovation's DX breeches have it. Great stuff! They also advertised in Dressage Today a new kind that has the lining, but the bottom of the breeches is also made out of that stuff so you don't sweat so much under your tall boots. I just might have to invest. :D

I love the Pikeurs in the Prestige Microfibre 2000 fabric.
They are light, breathable, stretchy and wash and dry well.
Haven't found anything else comparable.

Another vote for the ovation dri-lex. I just discovered them about a month ago and they have become my favorite. I bought several pairs for schooling as well now. The dri-lex literally wicks sweat/water away from your skin. They are amazing!

Pikeur Lascara is supper light full seat summer breech. They lasts much longer than any other brand as well. I love them!

I love the cotton naturals! They're not too thick, they're fairly inexpensive, they're forgiving and flattering. I'm very heat tolerant, though, so I guess they probably aren't as cool as everything else mentioned. However, they are less expensive and feel really nice!

Cotton Naturals do not hold up for me. Tropical Riders Enduracools seem to be lasting forever (so far, about 4 years). And they are impervious to thorn trees and nasty brush on the trail too.

I love the tropical riders - but not in the Africa heat. I find the deerskin really makes me sweat wherever it is. I do think they have a very flattering fit - and I enjoy them in the milder temps.

I have a pair of light weight Euro-stars and a pair of Cambrai's that are both great in the summer. The seats aren't real leather, but work fine. I still have to peel myself out of them when I'm done riding in heat, but they are loads cooler than my winter weight breeches.
