View Full Version : Layover Facility Lexington KY NAJYRC
3 Day Ranch

I am looking for a place to stable 6 horses for 3 days-July 17, 18, 19th close to Lexington KY. These are some of the horses for the Area VI Young Rider Team from California. USEF as the organizer of Young Riders is charging $75 DOLLARS PER DAY PER HORSE-to come into stabling early. Seems outrageous to me but they feel justified and "no one else has complained"
Anyway.......all of your helpful suggestions would be greatly appreciated. We are definitely on a budget with all of the expense of traveling that far. Thank you for your help.

About 40 miles door to door from the horse park.
I happen to have 8 empty stalls, easy access off the freeway and more than happy to help. PM me if this is of any interest to you.

Try your luck with Kesmarc. If they have the room, they should be reasonably priced. They have room to ride, lots of paddocks, and top of the line stall accomidations. I can hook you up w/a half off rate @ the B&B across the street and maybee even a swim @ the castle if you want.

Thank you for all of your help. I have received a lot of private messages as well as the public responses. I am sure I will be able to work this out.
In response to who is coming from Area VI:
One Star: Madison Reeb, Moraya Cleary
Two Star: Max McNamany, Rachel Dwyer, Elsie Patterson, Suzy Hettig and Scott Kuhlman.
Rachel is moving to Virginia-hence the 8th horse.
Elsie, Suzy and Scott are all on the top 10 YR leaderboard as well as the top 3 at the moment on the YR Intermediate Leaderboard. Wish us luck.
Thank you again :D

Search "Saddles and Sheets" in Midway. It is a lovely layover facility, maybe 15 min. From the park. Great website too!

Doesn't the KHP accept horses in transit? I know I kept a horse there overnight ($20) once when I was hauling back from NC to MI. It was off-season, though, so no shows going on.

I second Saddles & Sheets, but would contact them soon! It would be a very fast trip to KHP.
