Have you ever tried VRBO (vacation rental by owner)? You might find some people have places listed on here in Ocala.

Lots of people stay at Carlton Arms Apartments. They book up fast during HITS.

i was going to say carlton arms as well. anything near the show is not going to be cheap. people know that and prices go way up in the winter.maybe try and find a private barn with an apt. or small house or trailer for rent.good luck, you have lots of people looking for the same thing.
