I have just purchased a 33 acres farm but that means I am selling our current [edit] equestrian property in the Washington DC suburbs. In addition to the COH magazine, I am not sure where else to advertise. [edit] Any advice about where to advertise is appreciated.

I don't know your area specifically, but here are some of my favorite places to advertise horse properties:
landandfarm.com
landflip.com
landsofamerica.com
equestrianliving.com

Try www.virginiaequestrian.com (http://www.virginiaequestrian.com). It's free and gets plenty of hits. Also, if you're trying to sell without a Realtor -- or even if you do have a Realtor working for you -- make up flyers and post them in the tack shops and at shows. You can also advertise in HorseTalk magazine and the Virginia Horse Journal. The magazines are free and available in tack shops, but the ads cost.

Use a knowledgeable realtor.

I think I just responded to you on Eventers-L! ;) (Note to self: Need to get off the computer!) Washington Post. When I was selling my farm in Fauquier 10 years ago (before there was really internet advertising), my "equestrian" realtor was doing nothing. So I put an ad in the Post, showed it to a few people myself, and got a buyer. Since I was under contract with the realtor, she showed up to take the commission. But I did get it sold which was the important thing.
I suggest advertising it as you would a horse for sale. Area websites, horse for sale websites, tack and feed shops, newspapers, etc. In addition to the specialty websites for selling farms listed above.
Congratulations on the new farm. Where is it?
