I just read through the Stockholm thread and it got me to thinking. See I keep my horses at home and boarded once in my life for a couple months. I have realized now that I have forgotten much of what I learned in my youth(I used to be able to name all the bones in the horse...etc) and would like to relearn much of this and do so in a somewhat social setting. I don't get out much.

So is there somewhere in NoVa that does weekly or monthly seminars? This is something I would encourage my older students to go to as well. And the BO of the barn that I teach at.We all want to learn more.

May not be exactly what you are looking for, but Southern States in Purcellville is having a talk by their new horse specialist July 8. Not sure of time. Around 1 p.m.

A year or so ago, Southern States in Purcellville and Middleburg had monthly talks by local experts during the winter.

And Virginia Tech vet hospital (Morven) in Leesburg has monthly evening talks during the winter. I went to the ones on colic and worms this past winter.
