Flying a Horse

Does anyone have experience shipping their horse via flying? I have a horse on the east coast that I'm considering bringing to Alaska. Any thoughts or comments would be appreciated!

I flew one from Australia to LA. It worked out fine, but I was pretty sure it would. Most of the other horses on the flight would have been race horse shuttle stallions, and had three more zeros on the end of their values than mine. If multi million dollar horses do the trip twice a year it has to work out most of the time.

If the horse is a seasoned traveler, and it is a regular horse transport route I am sure it will be fine.

Is it a regular horse transport route?
