Hey everyone I just had to brag about our new horse. DH is making me say "our"...when I really just want to say "my new horse"...but one does need to make sacrifices in a marriage. ;)

His name is Kip, I didn't name him but he actually comes to it so I didn't have the heart to change it. He's a Perch X Paint and at 2 years old he's already 15.3hh!! His mom was 18hh....

I don't know what I'm going to do with him. DH has grown quite fond of Kippers and plans on making him his trail horse. We'll see. :) He's the sweetest guy, very in your pocket, he's been started wonderfully thanks to his previous owner, and it doesn't hurt that he's really good lookin'.

Thanks for listening to my brag! I'm just so excited about him.

Here are some pictures. (http://community.webshots.com/user/auggers)

He's really cute! Congrats on the new horse, and on having a horsey man to argue with over riding privileges.

Congratulations! You can't go wrong when the animal is part Percheron, you will find he will have a great mind! And he is a cutie too, I can see why you already love him.

Hey C! One nosey kiss from Auntie C coming right up!

I'm so excited about him, DH is very much a novice when it comes to horses, but Kip, even at 2, has such a great head on his shoulders and is so patient. He stands there quiet as can be so DH can put a halter on him and lead him around, brush on him, put sunscreen on his little pink nose, etc.

I would def. get another horse that has Perch in it. I'm super impressed w/ the breed thus far.

:) :)

Janice did a great job with him!

Yes she did! She started him quite well. (Don't worry...I give credit where credit is due... ;) )

I know she's glad you all have him and she's looking forward to seeing what you do with him.
